Since FireFox Security Update 11/17/17 Windows updates on Windows 10 have not be successful. Is this a coincidence?

Windows 10 updates have not been successful on my computer starting on 11/17/17. This is the same date that a FireFox Security update was successfully installed. Prior to that date my Windows 10 updates have been successful. I'm trying to resolve the problem. Can you help? I've tried doing a stand alone installation of the windows 10 updates starting from 11/17/17 on Windows. It downloads and then says it is installing. I then get the error message that the installation does not apply to this computer. I chose the correct download 64 as opposed to the other choice which was 86. I'm at a loss. Is it Windows or could it be the Firefox browser? I am not very tech knowledgeable so that may be the total problem. User error at the max. Thank you for any wisdom you can send my way. It is much appreciated.

That may just be concidence but I get Win10 updates just fine. And I doubt one or the other could negate the other. Have you tried to not run FF and just do a Windows update to see what happens?
