How can I turn on URL suggestions in URL search bar?
It used to be that when I type in the url bar, firefox would auto complete my searches especially to my bookmarked sites. Recently it has been turned off somehow and it is rather frustrating. How do I get this back on?

Did you check the address bar suggestions in Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security?
See also these prefs on the about:config page.
- browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled
- browser.urlbar.maxRichResults
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
Doesn't seem to have anything disabled.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
