Is there a "start Thunderbird" option when Win7 starts as in Eudora7?
Having used Eudora from day one using the start Eudora when Windows starts option , does Thunderbird have to be started in a Win7 'start programs' file somewhere?

I have never been a fan of applications that duplicate services offered by the operating system. In the case of a mail application I strongly suggest you start Thunderbird in offline mode if you are going to start it with Windows. Startup is a very busy time for the system and having the anti virus scanning mail while it comes in from half a dozen servers just might make startup less than smooth. It might also see the scanning and mail fall over one another and deliver unexpected results.
Windows 7 still has a startup group in the start menu, that I think was introduced, with Windows 95. The location of the startup folder has moved in windows 8 and 10.. In windows 8/10 Windows Key+R, type shell:startup in the Open text box and press Enter.
