Tracking Protection uses a list of tracking servers from Disconnect. There are some sites that force tracking in order to access content, for example, slide shows where you can't advance to the next picture unless you allow Google Analytics.
Since the built-in feature is "all or nothing," you could look into whether there is an anti-tracking add-on which makes the site usable without giving up all protection.
