Usually a quick tap will activate a link (similar to a left click on a mouse) and a long press will call up a context menu (similar to a right click on a mouse).

If you long press on text, Firefox may also show a text selection with handles at the start and end you can use to expand the selection.

If you long press on an image, Firefox may show options to view the image by itself or save the image.
