Does Thunderbird have any options to set a limit of 4Gb on the "Inbox" file which is located in profile folder?
Yesterday we had a problem with our Inbox file. Windows reduce it's size to 4Gb, so a part o email was cutted and we have lost them. And the question is if Thunderbid can give us some size limitation, so it will not extend the Inbox file more than 4Gb, or it will inform the us when this size is excided.

Since TB 51, there is no 4GB limit on folder size, but if you are running on 32-bit systems, there is a preference that can be set to warn on reaching the 4GB size (see next-to-last paragraph in the 'Folders and messages' section).

I think "General remarks" gets it dead wrong - 32-bit OS should have nothing to do with 4gb folder size.
Reporter can you post screen shots of what you are seeing?

Thank you for your support. This advice is very useful for me.
I would suggest a fat32 partition has a 4Gb file size limit. It is also true that usb drives generally have a 4gb file size limit, basically because they are formatted with Fat32 instead of exfat or NTFS. (fat32 offer maximum compatibility)
So what is the drive Thunderbird's data is stored on? Is it formatted as fat32? Is is a USB or NAS drive?
