How to find and copy/backup bookmarks in toolbar

more options

I can't find a folder containing the bookmarks stored on the toolbar. I want to find and save that file to Chrome and another location on my computer. I have followed the instructions in the help folder and have bookmarks.html. The bookmarks from the toolbar are not there.

Hi, the Bookmarks from the Toolbar should be in there as they are always there when I backup. They are not obvious, try another look through the HTML file.

You used this procedure? Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks

That should give you a complete set of all your Firefox bookmarks, although it is not displayed very clearly, so it can be difficult to find things. How did you look for content on your Bookmarks Toolbar, for example, did you open open the page in a tab and use Find (Ctrl+f) to search for bookmarks toolbar in the page? Usually it's toward the bottom.
