Add-on disappearing from taskbar
So I just installed Windows and all my drivers. I wanted a good internet browser so I downloaded Firefox and I would like to use adblock plus because I dont like Ads popping up in my face. But when I install adblock it works properly for the first time , but if I close Firefox and start it again , it doesn't work and also there is no Icon in the Taskbar. Still , I can find the Add-on in the add-on tab and it is active , but its not working. Any help would be appreciated :)

Hi, actually some things are the Extension makers responsibility.
But in this case as you saw it is not.
Please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st:
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
then
TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Addons issue aren't a FF end user help forum to resolve that is best directed to the developer as to what the problem is. Otherwise you need to remove the addon and add them back to see what happens.

It has nothing to do with the developer of the Add-on... it's the same with every Add-on. I was just giving an example.

Please do not tell people they cannot get help here with Firefox or Fx related things and or with Extensions. Trying to get support from the extension author is not their only option.
