Where are my saved passwords?

I tried to log in to the public library website, and I had noticed the fields were not filled in. I checked my passwords under preferences and the list is empty. What happened to my 15 years worth of saved passwords????

Hi, Sorry to hear can not find them, do you have them in a backup file ?

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created. If there great. Please see if a new Profile was made and a old one is still there. You are looking for the oldest dated folder.

They will be in here :

Thanks for the quick reply. I have 2 login.json files. One of them is labeled "logins.json.corrupt" the other only has the three newest additions to my saved passwords list.

see if opening the .corrupt file has readable content ( it should be hashed in that file so don't expect it to be the plaintext passwords. if it is readable you can still use the links previously provided to re-import them into the newest of the two files.
