If you're going to block third party PDF viewer plugins (to view in a browser window) then you need to add a PDF email link button and an 'open PDF in xxxx' btn

I would like to use the Nitro PDF viewer plugin as I view hundreds of PDFs a week in my browser. Often, I will email the PDF with a quick link. Now that the ability to view PDFs in the browser is limited to the built-in Firefox PDF viewer, you will need to upgrade it's capabilities to meet the flexibility of the other PDF plugins that can no longer be used with Firefox. Nobody wants to be forced to save every PDF to their drive, and then go find it and open it in their 3rd party viewer to view it properly or email it off.

Please add an "Email PDF" button, as well as an "Open PDF" (with the default PDF viewer) button to the integrated Firefox PDF interface.

Thank you, Joe

Did NitroPDF email the PDF itself, or a link to the PDF?

To open the PDF in an external viewer, use the little download arrow on the built-in viewer's toolbar. That's normally visible, but sometimes might be on an overflow drop-down. The download dialog should allow you to open with an app rather than having to save first. Do you get that option? Here's a screenshot of the button I'm talking about:

By the way, the PDF Viewer is built through a team that tracks bugs and suggestions here:

https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues

Having a button to email the PDF was suggested on Dec. 5, 2014 and it doesn't seem to be making much progress yet: Send as an email attachment · Issue #5527.

Understood on both your messages and I’ve already resolved one of the issues with your suggestion. I didn’t realize that download button would have a pop up window (I assumed it just saved it to the default Downloads folder in the background). So that part is workable now! Thank you!

I saw your other email where the email link button was suggested 4 years ago but never implemented, very interesting. And for your reference, Nitro PDF’s one button action simply opened up a new email (in the default email program) with the PDF already attached and ready to be sent once the recipient was filled in.

I have a Github account myself, I will try to check out the suggestions page soon. Thanks again!
