Two-Factor-Authentication "Deactivate"-Button Not Reacting
Hiho,
I need to deactivate the 2FA because I want to reinstall it for my phone after resetting to default. But the "Deactivate"-Button doesn't react even after deleting all the cookies.
I use the German version of Firefox and it is up-to-date. I have tried in safe mode as well.
I need support please.
Thank you and best, VioletC

Try to clear the cookies for accounts.firefox.com and do a fresh login to the Firefox Account website.
In case of issues log in to the Firefox Account via this website.
I have tried after deleting the cookies. The button still does'nt respond.

I tried it twice. It doesn't work.
Maybe try a password reset to clear all data on the Sync server to see if that link gives access to disabling 2FA or did you try this as well?
It doesn't seem to be easy to disable 2FA as I've seen more cases where somebody didn't succeed.

I encounter the same problem in Twitter. https://twitter.com/johanbove/status/1111394361852551168
Can you describe how to reproduce the issue?
I want to deactivate it because I need to reset my phone. But this option is gone now. I can't enter my settings anymore.
Since that I tried to reset my account but it need the 6 digit code of the 2FA.
Now I don't know anymore what can I do.
If somebody has a tip I would really appreciate that.
Best
Unfortunately, there's no way to recover your Firefox Account if you lost your two-step authentication device and don't have the recovery codes.
I would suggest to create a new account and by then, you can re-sync your desktop and your phone.
