When i started my laptop and opened firefox, it crashed and said there was an error of some kind and that i had to force restart it.

I did and it made a new profile but did add all my add-ons back but the customization, pinned top sites etc were all changed. I could not revert it back to my old profile (I have a "old firefox profile" on my desktop).

Then after this on the next day, i opened firefox on my PC, and all pinned top sites were gone as well but never gave any error message or anything and all add-ons and customization was still intact.

Any idea what this is/was?

Side note: The @Google pinned top site is extremely annoying. Every time i remove it, it comes back after a few restarts. Stop doing this.

Thank you for your reply.

As mentioned in my first post, i do have an "old firefox data" map on my desktop. I already tried following those websites mentioned but this messed things up even more to a point i am in doubt of just fully uninstalling firefox on my laptop and reinstall it and set everything back up from scratch.

The problems are still: What caused this to prevent it from happening again. And why did all my pinned top sites suddenly disappear on my PC?
