Hi

I have emails coming in to a specific folder and each has an attachment. These are automatically forwarded to a new user who does not need the attachments.

Can I still automatically forward any new emails but strip the attachment before sending?

Hello Brian,

Would you please take a look at this article and scroll down to the section Remove an attachment in Mozilla Thunderbird

'Hope that works for you .....

Hi

I had read that already and it covers manual forwarding and manual deletion of attachment. Doing this up to 100 times a day is counter-productive.

As I specified in the OP I need to automatically strip attachments and automatically forward.

'Didn't know you have to do that a hundred times a day .....

I hope someone else will come to your rescue, cause this is all I could find (so sorry .... ).

No problem - many thanks for trying. :)

With FiltaQuilla installed, you can add a filter action that Detaches attachments to a folder. If this action is added before the 'Forward Message to' action, it should work - but I recommend some testing to make sure it doesn't forward before the detaching is completed.
