So I patiently waited for the promised fix to the add-on certificate expiration debacle. Read on Sunday May 5 mid afternoon that version 66.0.4 was pushed for PCs and Android. Desktop did update (thank you). Android has not. Google Play Store is stuck in offering only version 66.0.2; I cannot find 66.0.4. When I try going through the Firefox site I get kicked to the same Play Store page for 66.0.2.

As I type this (8pm-ish CDT) the update was pushed 4-5 hours ago. How much longer must I wait? Is there another way to download the Android version now?

Or am I the only one with this issue? Running Android on Samsung Galaxy S8+ with most recent update to Android version 8.0.0

Hi

We are sorry for the delay, but the fix is now in the Release version of Firefox for Android. I recommend you open the Google Play Store app on your device and check for any application updates. If it is not immediately available, please check back later, it will be there very soon.

It's not just yoi, all versions of Firefox are affected by the expired certificate problem.

I don't know why Google Play still only has 66.0.2.

There is a way to sideload Firefox for Android, but then it doesn't update, so I don't know whether that is a good trade-off. The download page is here:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/

Another possible unsupported workaround is to temporarily disable add-on verification and extension auto-updating. The first reply here has the steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1258438

Thanks. I know all FF users got hit by this debacle. What gets me is a pushed release promoted for Android and all links take me to Google Play which is stuck on 66.0.2. Doesn't even have 66.0.3. What gives?

I think I'll wait a bit longer. Not much of a risk taker since I'm not all that tech savvy. I'd get lost doing a side load.

There was no Fx 66.0.3 for Android, only for desktop.
