answers are non-responsive
I've gotten a question from a "community manager" (Kiki) asking if I have gotten any answers - NO I HAVE NOT ! At least I have not gotten any answers that can be understood by anybody but a "geek". Trying to find this page is a total chore and since her "message" to me has no way to reply...

You haven't replied to any of the other threads that you created and have made multiple duplicate threads for the same issue. None of the volunteers here will be of any help unless you let us know that something we posted didn't help in the same thread.
When someone replies to a thread, they get email updates when you post in it, but only if you write in the same question and don't create an additional one.
Due to the volume of threads that a lot of the volunteers take on, it's unlikely that they are going to follow up on your question, unless you post in it. Otherwise, they will assume that the question is solved.

Now what?
Hello LeadSinger,
I am the one who had asked Kiki in an email to take a look at all your threads, and see if maybe, somehow, you didn't get email notifications when someone had posted in your threads ....
Now the reason why you never reply to posts turns out to be the fact that you don't understand the answers you've been given.
All you have to do is to let people know that you don't understand what they're saying and ask them to explain things in a way that would be easier to understand for a "non-tech-savvy person" .....
It's not too late : you can still get back to your original thread and ask just that .....
Here it is : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1259783
Hi LeadSinger, you can find links to your questions in your profile:
https://support.mozilla.org/user/LeadSinger
The links in your profile should work when you view them on Windows, but some of them fail in the mobile view (phone/tablet view).
With my posts in your earlier threads I had given you links to your other threads - the fact that you still didn't reply to any of them, made me think that there was something wrong with the email notifications, but I now am thinking that you simply didn't know how to reply to posts, hence your started a new thread, over and over again .....
In case you don't know how to post a reply to any of the posts in all your threads so far :
When you scroll down just a little under each last post, you'll see a box saying "Post a Reply" - all you have to do is start typing ....
If that's still not possible for you (for whatever reason) : do you maybe have a relative, a friend, or a friendly neighbor who can help you with this ?
(edit : typo)
Modified
OK, I have now seen all (5) replies on this thread. I'm sorry, but this site is NOT user friendly to a regular person (getting here is a total pain to begin with). This is the FIRST time that I have seen a "post reply" spot & I'm not confident that it will work (not hi-lited or anything). To answer somebody's comment - I use ONLY a desktop computer. Sorry, but 1/2 the other replies were trying to send me places to look up 20 - 50 files for help. I know better than that plus "manuals" are NOT written for the street person (me).
Hi LeadSinger, sorry to hear about this problem.
If you haven't already, could you close out of Firefox and do a normal Windows shutdown and restart to complete any pending updates and release any file locks.
If Firefox again starts up without your bookmarks, could you check whether your stuff is available in a different Firefox profile? Here's how:
Profile Manager Page
Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.
This page should list at least one profile and could list many. Each will show links to a pair of folders; please ignore those for now.
The profile that Firefox is currently using will have this:
This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.
Anyway, please do not delete anything here -- don't use any Remove buttons.
Do you have another profile named default or default-longnumber listed on this page? If so, you can check whether it is the one you were using recently by clicking its Launch profile in new browser button.
A new window will open. Does it have your bookmarks? If not, simply close that new window.
If it DOES have your data, then: back on the about:profiles page, click the Set as default profile button for that profile so Firefox uses it automatically at the next startup.
Any progress so far, or do we need to keep looking for your data in some other places?
