When I sign into Outlook Webmail Firefox can't open account, stays in thinking mode. How can I fix?
I have outlook tab saved on my bookmark tool bar as I use it daily, in the last few months I had to continually reset the link as if would open the outlook home sign-up or login area not go direct to the login page. After an update the other week outlook would not open my email account after I clicked 'Login' it would stop in the thinking/loading screen (outlook symbol and the rotating blue ring). Outlook will work on other browsers but I hate them and that is why I use Firefox. I have had issue with other sites not working correctly since the update, like a local hardware store I use frequently, www.bunnings.com.au, the search function does not work when I press enter. it causes the site to show a fault, But I do the same on Explorer and it works fine. To get it to sometimes work I have to physically click the magnifying glass but it doesn't always work. These are just a couple of examples but there have been several more pages that have had issues with search or login functions.

Hi TrevH, it's strange that you have problems with so many sites. Have you noticed any specific error messages you could copy/paste into a reply?
Which Outlook site has the problem and do these links work any better than the one you saved:

If a site is generally known to work in Firefox, these are standard suggestions to try when it stops working normally:
Double-check content blockers: Firefox's Content Blocking feature and extensions that counter ads and tracking may break websites that embed third party content (meaning, from a secondary server).
(A) Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the address bar, near the lock icon? More info on managing the Tracking Protection feature in this article: Content Blocking.
(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix should provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you may need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
Cache and Cookies: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "Clear Cookies and Site Data"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "Clear Cookies and Site Data"
- click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button
In the dialog that opens, you will see one or more matches to the current address so you can remove the site's cookies individually without affecting other sites.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Testing in Firefox's Safe Mode: In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Thank you for the response. About the only thing I hadn't tried was the safe mode.. and the page loaded this time.
What does that mean? I haven't added anything new to the computer. The Bunnings site still isn't working on Firefox though.
If Outlook loads in Firefox's Safe Mode and not in regular mode, it could be caused by:
- One of your extensions -- try disabling any you can live without for 8 hours and then reload the page (Ctrl+r) to see whether anything changes
- Graphics incompatibility -- this article describes how to set Firefox not to use hardware acceleration: Firefox's performance settings
- JavaScript compiler bug (seems unlikely unless there are more reports)
- A customization in an optional userChrome.css or userContent.css file (most users will not be customizing sites this way)
On the hardware store site, what do you mean by "show a fault"? Is there is a specific error message?
When I search for butane stove I get the following results page with 6 products:

On your Firefox, are you never getting to that page, or is that page not loading correctly?
I disabled an add-on for my wireless mouse and that seems to have fixed the outlook but the issue with the bunnings site has changed, before I tried to search and it would come up saying the bunnings site had an issue please try later type message, now I do a search and nothing happens, it makes out it loads and then just shows the same page. I was also having issues with IMDB yesterday trying to watch trailers for movies they wouldn't load. Seems like the issue I have with most sites is if the site has a search function or a tab where a secondary feature loads it will fail, not go anywhere or isn't available. Like this site I had issues with yesterday https://www.clipsal.com/Trade/Products/ProductDetail?catno=230DRAS1MI there are tabs half way down the page product overview, Specifications, Documentation, downloads and colour matrix. I can't change to any of them, my point changes to show they are functions but nothing happens when I click on them. It does in explorer tho.
