I can't access many important features of websites in firefox, firefox private window, or Chrome. The only thing that loads properly is Chrome incognito. I think this has to do with security settings, but what I see doesn't match any of the articles on the support website. I don't even know what to turn off to load these sites properly. For example, I can't see the videos on tasty.co except for the homepage. Please help me manage my privacy settings.

Hi palettemuse, we just went through this last month, so you already know all the standard suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1256081

Could you test this way:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your problem site(s).

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Aug2019, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system so we can get a clean test.

Do the problem site(s) work any better in the new profile, or is content still blocked?

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Aug2019 will remain available for future testing.)

Hello! I had a really horrible experience trying to create a new profile a few years ago. It completely took over, and I could never get back to my actual profile again. Had to start everything from scratch. Sorry, I can't do that one.
