When I copy and paste a url to an email , it is invisible...but if I print the email, it is there.

I can copy and paste pictures and text to a new email but if I try with a url link, nothing shows. If I print the email, the link is there and if I right-click 'select all' in the email, the link shows....but in blue and highlighted in blue...as if it is ready to be deleted. This happened suddenly after the PC had been switched off for 2 days.

Brilliant...thank you. The colours for both visited and unvisited links had somehow changed to white...no idea how ( though there was a Windows 7 update just before I shut the PC down a couple of days ago). I knew the problem had to be a setting somewhere in Thunderbird but just couldn't find it. Many thanks.
