I put the exceptions to allow them but it's a government site and i think they track me. So is there anyone out there that can get through fasfa.ed.gov?

Hi jhalston, What sort of problems are you having? Does the site not load? Is the address correct?

Try this link - see if it helps: https://acc.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm

Thanks Robert but that is for the administrator. I am trying to fill out an application with my grandson. https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa When i click on start here it says "FAFSA on the Web has encountered an error. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Click "OK" to return to the FAFSA on the Web home page

Then it takes me back to beginning. I have enabled pop-ups but it acts like my browser will block it.

I have tried all the other goofy microsoft edge, internet explorer etc. but i get same results. I love Firefox and Mozilla. They are the best i just need to figure out why i can't even open the application. FASFA says it's not them.......... yeah right.

Interesting. When I select Start Here it takes me to: https://fafsa.ed.gov/spa/fafsa/#/LOGIN?locale=en_US

Maybe it's just some sort of blocking going on in your browser.

If I remember right, there's a time constraint on applying and, of course, enrolling, so maybe it would be better to use another browser for the time being or contact the school for help.

Thanks, I have checked that too. I have until June 30, 2020. I think it might be my firewall and antivirus. I am checking on that now. Thank you for everything.

The website works for me with the current Firefox release.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows an highlighted shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Tracking Protection is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more details and possibly disable the protection

You can check in the Web Console what content is blocked.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Thanks everyone but that didn't help either. I have found that no matter the computer or the program it doesn't seems to like Windows 10 and compatibility issues of some sort.

I did borrow an Apple computer (Mac) and I can get through with no problems whatsoever.

I think I might need to get an Apple soon...……….

Thanks again.
