need to return faulty laptop to seller after I have installed Firefox and synced, how to make passwords etc safe?
Returning faulty ebay laptop with my Firefox data on it - I bought a new laptop on ebay and had already downloaded Firefox when I discovered the machine was faulty. The seller has agreed to take it back and refund, but I am worried that the laptop now has all my passwords, bookmarks etc. Is there a way I can un-sync the faulty machine but keep all the Firefox data I need on my old machine? I am not at all tech-savvy, so need help in very basic terms, please! Thank you, namaste.

Firefox stores all of your browsing data in your profile folder. You can delete that profile folder by doing the following:
- Close Firefox.
- Press the Windows Key + R on the keyboard.
- Enter
%appdata%
into the Run window. - Find the
Mozilla
folder. - Hold down Shift on your keyboard and press Delete. That makes sure that the folder gets deleted, not sent to the Recycle Bin.
- Press the Up arrow button on the file explorer toolbar (next to the back and forward buttons) to go up one level.
- Open the
Local
folder. - Find the
Mozilla
folder. - Hold down Shift on your keyboard and press Delete.
- Press the Up arrow button on the file explorer toolbar (next to the back and forward buttons) to go up one level.
- Open the
LocalLow
folder. - Find the
Mozilla
folder. - Hold down Shift on your keyboard and press Delete.
That should remove all traces of Firefox and any of the data that Firefox had on it. You should also make sure to empty your Recycle Bin on the Windows desktop to make sure that none of your files hang around.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, Wesley. I'm going to go and have a lie-down in a darkened room, now. Stay safe
