Inbox emails disappear
Hi I have recently installed linux pop os (2004) on a home laptop and installed the latest thunderbird as my mail client. My email is from an exchange server, and account is set up as such (IMAP).
My work laptop runs win 10, and runs outlook 365.
I have discovered a 3 times now, when I 'download' emails on thunderbird, unless I move them to folders, emails in my inbox disappears in TB. I am very sure I left them in inbox becasue these are emails that require my actions and hence I left them there before closing TB. They were not accidentally deleted.
When I open my outlook 365, those emails left in the inbox of TB did not sync to my outlook inbox. When I go back to open my TB, the inbox mails were not there too. I would have thought the 2 inboxes (TB and Outlook) should show my messages.
Any ideas anyone?

They were not accidentally deleted.
Yet, are they actually deleted? Do you find them in the Trash? Was the Tbird profile set up afresh, or did you continue with the same profile that was used by the previous OS and Tbird version? Is this behaviour intermittent or can you repeatedly reproduce it without a doubt? It is just a specific sender's or subject message or any/all messages in your inbox? Do you have filters that delete or move messages to certain folders, both in Outlook and Tbird? Does your inbox contain any other messages or do you keep it totally clean with nothing except new messages?
