DUMP the white-on-black menu bar and the overall darkness of the default theme!! Please restore traditional blue-on-white colors as the baseline - NOT white-on-black!!!! Firefox is NOT USABLE OUT-OF-THE-BOX!!

What are you using as your theme?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi Bill, the "Default" theme picks up certain color cues from your operating system theme. Firefox also comes with Light and Dark themes (but based on your comments, I don't think you want the dark theme). You can switch themes either through the Add-ons page (click Themes in the left column) or the Customize tab. More info in this article:

Built-in themes in Firefox - alternative to complete themes

If that doesn't give you the color scheme you want, you could check out the many, many add-on themes or the Firefox Color extension:

Solid-black is resolved, thank you!

I'm currently using the Firefox theme. (But it is *annoying in its own right*, thank you - too little USEFUL value-added to this theme.)
