My laptop was wiped and Windows 10 reloaded by a tech person (laptop had frozen in some fashion). He supposedly saved all my files/documents, but now I can't find my Thunderbird folders of saved emails, or my address book. I tried following instructions on the Mozilla website, but I don't know if they apply to this situation. I did find a folder for some Thunderbird material, but nothing that looks like a sub-folder with saved emails or addresses. Have I lost everything, or is there a way to retrieve the material?

Did the Windows reinstall create a Windows.old folder?

No, not that I can find. I have only a folder on my C Drive that is named Windows.pre 09-2020.

OK, look in that folder for the TB data in ..../AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/randomstring.default. Allow the viewing of hidden files and folders.
