I lost all my bookmarks when I updated to the latest Firefox version... How do I recover them? There is not even a "library" tab in the bookmarks menu or toolbar... Thank you for your help.

Hi, first try restarting Firefox: 3-bar menu > Exit.

It's possible that Firefox may have created a new empty Profile. To select your original one with all your data, please see Recover user data missing after Firefox update.

In case a Refresh has occurred, please look on your Desktop for a file named Old Firefox Data - Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.

  • Steps to recover data from the Old Firefox Data folder: With Firefox closed, open the Old Firefox Data folder on your Desktop, then highlight everything in it to select all the data and right click > Copy. Now press the Windows key + R to open Run, then type %appdata% in the box and click OK. Next navigate to Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles, by opening each folder in turn (your profile folder will be 8 letters and numbers followed by .default) Finally, open that folder and right click > Paste - if asked, select that you want to overwrite the data. You can now close everything and start Firefox.
