This border appeared recently (weeks?) around three sides of the Windows Firefox Desktop version. It is annoying. Does not respond to any recommended fixes I have found on the same issue. Tried safe mode. Tried moving the task bar. Tried changing enlargement percentage. Tried rebooting after all of the above. Nothing working. Can't find a switch anywhere.

This can happen if you run Firefox in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or Windows 8. Check that you do not run Firefox in Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility mode.
