Weird big stripe on top of every webpage
Hello,
After installing some random extension (pinned tab whats app or something like that), my firefox starts to act weird. I have big stripe/band on top of barely every website I use (as seen on attached screenshots).
I uninstalled the extension right away but it doesn't fix the issue. So I uninstalled entirely firefox, deleted what I found as my use profile folder, made a fresh install, but the issue is still here.
It disappear in troubleshooting mode, but in normal mode even with no extension the bug is still here.
When displaying developer tools, the page is now totally blank on some site, normal on others.
I'm on Elementary Os 5.1 (ubuntu 18.04).
Many thanks in advance for your help !
Benoît

Hi,
I ran into the same problem, which I asked about here: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1338293] (no answers yet...) I'm also running Elementary OS 5.1.
For me, the problems seems to be related to the proprietary NVidia drive I have installed. Once I disabled this driver and switched to the integrated Intel graphics chip, the problem went away.
I don't really have a need for a dedicated graphics card, so this work-around is fine for me. But it isn't really a solution, of course...

Hello Joost,
Thanks a lot for your reply, i'ts very interesting not to be alone on the same issue :)
Following your experience, I tried to downgrade the NVidia driver back to v460 instead of v465 and he problem disappeared immediately !
I suppose that the previous driver upgrade was done without restarting firefox and the problem was not already visible... still a strange behavior...
Again, thank you for the info !
