I use a Thunderbird 91.0.3 client on my PC running Windows 10 OS to access my work email from the email server. The email server uses IMAP protocol for receive and SMTP for send. On my iPhone, I use a gmail App to access the email messages. When I send messages from the iPhone, I would like to see them in the Sent folder of my PC based Thunderbird Sent folder also. Else I will have two sets of email folders working out of synch. In turn I will be unable to track down a message without searching both clients. The Inbox seems to be synching without any issues. Not sure why the Sent folder is not. Is there no way to synch both clients? If I use Outlook on both devices, then the folder synch is perfect. Am hoping there is a way to achieve this with Thunderbird also. Appreciate your support. Milind

The app on the phone and TB should both subscribe to the correct folder where sent messages are stored. Some services, such as gmail and outlook.com, automatically copy sent messages. In the case of outlook.com, they are copied to the Sent folder, but in gmail it's the Sent Mail folder. Right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe, Refresh, and see if the 'Sent' folder is the correct one, and compare with the target in the Copies & Folders section of Account Settings.

I am sharing the screenshot of the reply folder setup in Mozilla. Please help me understand if it is setup correctly so it synchs with the gmail app on my iPhone and gets me all sent messages from my iPhone in one place i.e. TB desktop. Thank You for your help.

Does the account on the phone store sent messages in the same Sent folder as shown in your picture?

I use the gmail app on an iPhone. I cannot seem to figure out the folders where the messages are being saved. If there is a way to decipher, please let me know. Else simply tell me what the settings need to be on the gmail app and TB on my desktop. If gmail is not the right client to use, please let me know which I should use that is easily synched up with TB. All I need is both clients to be working in Synch.

right click the folder in Thunderbird and ensure the properties is set to check the folder when getting new mail for the account. Sometime it is not so it does not update.

I don't have the gmail app on iOS, but on Android, you tap the 3-bar icon at the upper left to show all the folders. Do a test to find out the exact name of the folder where sent messages are stored, and then compare that with the Copies & Folder setting. Once you have TB storing sent messages in the correct folder, subscribe that folder.
