Thank you to Ultraviolet for responding to my question. I tried to find out if my laptop had the synch feature turned on but could not find a location for this. I clicked on synch sign in and received a message another user has signed on. Do you want to synch this device - or something similar to that. I should have written it down when I had the laptop turned on. I was not sure if I wanted to continue so I logged out. All of the bookmarks on the laptop are on the desktop except for one folder which has quite a few websites listed - websites I do not want to lose.

Would it be safe to continue on the laptop when the question comes up? Is the synching going from the laptop to the desktop? I am a senior and do not have a lot of computer tech knowledge.

When I checked my desktop, I found a section that told me that synch was on. I could not find something similar on the laptop.
