Text replacement or subsitution on MacOS is disabled in Firefox
On MacOS (going back a long time) there is a very convenient feature (In Settings ⇒ Keyboards ⇒ Text) for "text substitution" or, as it appears in other applications' "Edit" Menus, under "Subtitutions", "Text Replacement".
For example, this lets me type, say (/), and have a ✔️ appear, or (r) for ®.
It may seem minor, and it is, but it's also a great time-saver when you have to do the same non-keyboard characters a lot.
This appears to be a simple thing to enable in MacOS applications. Where would I file a feature request for this?
(There have been at least 3 identical requests in the past 2 years, all archived.)

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select either Share ideas and feedback… or Submit feedback…, depending on your Firefox version. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
You can search the Add-ons website for a suitable extension.
