How do I add a password to log into mozilla.news.org as a newsgroup in TB 102.5.0

When I started TB 102.5.0 today it prompted me to enter a password for my newsgroup account. I had set up to access mozilla.news.org NNTP items a few years ago and this is the first time I've been prompted to enter a password. I thought they must have made a change requiring us to use the new Firefox account for this but I can't find any way in Account Settings to do this. The option to "Manage Newsgroups" no longer appears on the main TB page and clicking on Account Settings for my Mozilla News configuration does not show any option to specify a password. I see options setting up a new NEWSGROUP account. A search found a few folks talking about this but they mentioned clicking the now missing "manage newsgroups".

Is mozilla.news.org still supported?

news.mozilla.org is dead. https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/mfn5vb/newsmozillaorg_and_mailing_lists_will_shutdown_on/

There are FF and TB related support newsgroups independent of Mozilla on other news servers though: alt.comp.software.firefox alt.comp.software.thunderbird

Check your news server whether they are carried there.

The option to "Manage Newsgroups" no longer appears on the main TB page

Not sure what you're talking about,

clicking on Account Settings for my Mozilla News configuration does not show any option to specify a password.

Thunderbird will prompt you for a password. You can check passwords Thunderbird has remembered. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Privacy & Security > Passwords > Saved Passwords > Show Passwords This isn't new though.
