I want to install AdBlock Plus add on, verify it is in fact installed. Also [[;ace icon in taskbar. Also set it for NO ADS at all. Please, how do I do all that?

You can see it on the extension manager preferences or click the "puzzle" icon and pin it to see it. But if there is install issues or issues using it you should contact the developer for more support.
