Hi, this sounds like a user's report about Weather.com a little while back:

https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1417597

Do you recall making a manual change to that setting? If not, maybe one of your add-ons is changing the setting.

Anyway, websites are starting to respond to the signal that you don't want to be tracked, each in their own way, so if you can provide more details about where you see this problem, that would help.

P.S. This site doesn't accept email replies, so please follow up here at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1420546. Thanks.

You can disable Global Privacy Control (GPC) by going to about:config in the address bar and changing privacy.globalprivacycontrol.enabled to false.
