Delete phone bookmarks
I want my phone bookmarks to reflect what I have on my desktop.
How do I remove all the bookmarks on my phone to make that happen via sync?

Hi
If you sign into Firefox Sync on both devices, Firefox Sync will level out the bookmarks on both devices so that they are the same on both devices.
This may need a few sync events to occur first.

That fresh start, so to speak, will make it much more manageable gong forward.
I've always wondered why Firefox doesn't offer more options on what and how to sync, i.e. to combine, or only in one direction, etc. whether it's bookmarks or tabs.

If you have already used Firefox Sync, the bookmarks on both devices are already going to be mixed. Even if you disconnected Firefox for Android from Firefox Sync, then deleted the bookmarks, they would then sync back from Firefox for desktop.

Now it has been restored, with my original bookmarks.
That's why I want to delete the bookmarks on the phone, so we will start fresh, so to speak, and I can again sync, but now with the devices reflecting the same set of bookmarks currently on my desktop, and going forward.
Or maybe I have to go also go to the cloud to clean things up? I dunno, just thinking out loud. Please advise.
Thanks

Can anyone else give me a clue about removing those bookmarks?
This should help.
Disconnect your phone from Firefox Sync and clear the data from the app. This will clear all data (beyond being recovered) and take the app back to a first run state.
With Firefox on the desktop closed, replace your current profile with the backed up profile.
Open Firefox on the desktop and save a bookmark or two (to trigger a sync event).
Sign into your Firefox Account in Firefox for Android.

It's either all or nothing, as it says "All files, settings, accounts, databases, etc.?
That is correct.
