Firefox has changed how it handles .jp2 extensions. When i click on a .jp2 link it tells me it can not download it. I do not want to download it I want to open it. This worked in previous versions of Firefox but now it doesn't. The extension is not in the list so I can not specify download or open.

JPEG-2000 (JP2) files are not supported. If you can open them, the file extension is incorrect and they are not actually JP2 files.

this worked in the past with firefox. At some point Firefox was upgraded and now it doesn't work. I have used it hundreds of times. If you paste this in the address bar it will go to the site and every thing works fine but if you use it in a hyperlink in a word document it gives you this error. Unable to open. Cannot download the information you requested. https://www.mza.cz/actapublica/matrika/detail /7027?image=216000010-000253-003376-000000-011052-000000-00-B04170-00180.jp2 It looks like this is a Microsoft Word issue because it should not be trying to download it. this link does not work either. http://actapublica.eu/matriky/brno/prohlizec/7072/?strana=161 thank you for your help.

The first link is an image viewer that delivers chunks of image (PNG format) when zoomed, it's not something that you can embed into a Word document. If there is no facility to download the original image file, the best you can do is capture a screenshot.

The second link redirects to a search page on both Firefox and Chrome.

the second is correct but when executed from a word document it gives you an error (Unable to open http://actapublica.eu/matriky/brno/prohlizec/7072/?strana=161 Cannot download the information you requested.)
