I don't want thunderbird to store email data on my pc. Only store and access from email server. Is this possible?

Currently I'm using my AT&T email account with Web based Yahoo! Mail. I like accessing my email Web based, because it does not store my email data on my pc and remains on AT&T's servers. Can Thurderbird be installed and used on my pc, without storing file data locally? Thanks.

sure. here are the steps: - exit thunderbird - locate profile - click imapmail profile and then copy the yahoo profile to the server. Give it whatever name you like - start thunderbird - highlight account and right-click - select settings - click to 'server settings' - click the bottom item that points to account and change to the location of the server account that you just set up. - this will require a thunderbird restart - on restart, recheck to see that all is working ok. You can now delete the folder on your PC that you copied from.
