thunderbird why does one email account have a gmail folder but not the other
I have two gmail addresses. At the TGird directory one has a gmail sub folder but the other does not. Why is this? See screenshot.

That is the accounts "IMAP server directory" and entering that [Gmail] into the dialog in Account settings > Server settings > Advanced will see the folder included in the mail level folders after a restart of Thunderbird.
I find your statement incomprehensible and do not have a clue what you are trying to communicate. This is not helpful. Please leave this question for others to tackle.
Is the first account POP and the one with [Gmail] IMAP? Check the Server Type in Account Settings.
See attached. There is no designation "Server type" in the account setting window for T. Please communicatge clearly and identify your terms. Which "account"? Gmail or Tbird? As far as I know all accounts are set typo as IMAP and there is no such identification in T
See the attached picture. If an account has a Sync. & Storage section, it's IMAP. POP accounts don't have a Sync. & Storage option.
I do not have a clue what you were trying to communicate. I simply do not see what you see in my account. This is not helpful have a good day
People here have attempted to assist you, yet your attitude is offensive, and has been on your posts. You have been given correct advice. If you needed further details, just ask. Snide remarks accomplish nothing productive.
Thank you for your judgment and the valuations but none of this has been helpful to me and I am the one that matters here OK. None of this has been communicated in a manner that I can understand it or that is clear in any recognizable way. You are talking a language only you seem to understand.
I have run all of these unhelpful solutions past five different people and I am not the only one who doesn’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Please don’t blame me for your federal to communicate effectively and clearly.
Have a good day.

You are wrong, We all matter here, as this is a peer-to-peer forum, not a forum staffed by paid employees. You are not the customer, but another user as are we. When posting a question here, we anticipate a user knows where to locate account settings' and 'server settings', and when they get confused, they ask for specifics and we then explain where the menu is and the appropriate selection there.
Then you are all equally assuming the same false premise. Sorry with the people who come to use this program are not techno wizard like you and we do not speak the same language have a good day you are not helpful. Please do not blame me because you cannot communicate to your audience
As David said. I had been debating what if anything to do with your posts because of your attitude. This topic is now closed is what I am going to do for now.
