Firefox is automatically downloading PDFs even though I've set PDFs to "Ask whether to open or save files", and I choose to open in the browser. My settings are set to: Applications - all are set to always ask or open in Firefox What should Firefox do with other files? I selected: Ask whether to open or save files When I'm opening a PDF I get a popup What should Firefox do with this file and I choose open with Firefox, it still saves to my desktop. What do I do to stop it from downloading?

I just notice this also because I was testing in Nightly and it behaves differently. Download it and test for yourself. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/desktop-nightly/ Make sure to install in a different path than your current install. Someone closer to Dev can chime if there is a setting to change in about:config.
