Firefox 3.6 display off screen to right. Deleted & reloaded FF, but display off screen & not visible on monitor!! Win-7 ultimate
Just occurred. Opened 2nd FF browser window, moving intial one to right of screen. It went _off_ screen. Not visible and cannot be retrieved. I deleted and reloaded FF3.6, hoping it would remedy the problem. Still exists..now when FF opened the initial page flashes off the right of the monitor screen and is unviewable and cannot be retrieved [moved back on screen], so cannot use FF nor see browser to open add'l windows. Long-time FF user; never had prob before! Baffled!
This happened
Every time Firefox opened

Window sizes and positions are stored in localstore.rdf in the Profile Folder.
Corrupt_localstore.rdf (MozillaZine KB) (caution: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)
Note: Deleting the file localstore.rdf will reset the customizations of the toolbars to the defaults. You can rename localstore.rdf to localstore.rdf.sav to test if that solves it. Then you can restore the customization by copying localstore.rdf.sav to localstore.rdf if it didn't work.
PROBLEM SOLVED...
When I first deleted and re-installed Firefox, I _did not_ also delete the _user setting_, and the problem of the browser going off-screen (to the right) persisted.
Later, I again deleted Firefox...and the _user settings_...and re-installed the program. The problem of the disappearing browser was eliminated.
Previously, I periodically saved my bookmarks, so I imported the most recent file to the new re-installed Firefox. So, all is well now!!
My problem is similar but not as drastic. F F is too wide by about 20% It also makes reading some of the responses difficult.
I don't have this problem with Explorer, but I don't want to run Explorer.
Suggestions please:~Roger
