Reluctantly upgraded from v 3.1.9>3.6.3 due to frequent crashing, now I've lost some of the functionality which I depended on before. When I drag a tab out of the browser GUI into windows explorer it no longer creates an html shortcut, it now launches a new instance of FF with the tab address replicated. This is unacceptable, I need to fix it or revert back to older version asap. There is no other way to conveniently create FF bookmarks in a format recognizable by windows.

You are seeing the "tab tear-off" feature that appeared in Firefox 3.5 - it isn't new to 3.6.3 versions.

Drag the website image (favicon) from the URL bar to the desktop to save a shortcut to that webpage.

Yeah, I'm a seasoned expert at knowing what a favicon is, and how and where to drag and drop it, but this feature is not. working. anymore.
