I have a Mac OS X, version 10.6.4. I installed the mozilla firefox browser to enable to follow online courses. When I try to login, it says that my browser is unable to read their password or something like that. Whatever. I cannot get in.

This happened

Just once or twice

What site? I'm on Snow Leopard, so I can test it.

Chris, thank you for responding. I am, totally, computer illiterate. I just want to begin my onlines courses and I do not know how to activate my browser in order to login to the online course. I thought all of this was automatic. I know the Mozilla Firefox functions, but I can't login so I think it is something simple that I do not know to do.
