Typing nonsense in the URL field will take Firefox to a Google "can't find" page. This happens even with Google removed from the list of search engines in the Search field, and even with the Search field removed from the toolbar. How can I prevent Firefox from connecting to Google (or any other site) automatically, regardless of text entry anywhere?

User Agent

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.22.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Safari/531.22.7
