Firefox 3.6.6. fails to show 'links' embedded in the website www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed . Previous versions did and current Safari does show the links. Links are most important for functionality of this important website.

Firefox 3.6.6. fails to show all the "links" normally embedded in the website www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed The missing "links" that are affected should be just above the Search box and are "Limits", "Advanced search" and "Help". Embedded "links" do work for other sites. For this site, previous versions of Firefox did, and the current version of Safari does, show the links. For my other library search work, Firefox works better so using the alternate browser Safari is not a good solution. Removing these links removes important functionality of this most important website for biomedical research. I use OS10.6 running a MacBook Pro and Firefox 3.6.6. In Firefox preferences I specify that the website www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov is allowed to display pop-ups. My Safari version is 5.0.

Firefox 3.6.8 on a Windows machine also doesn't work with the NCBI site. There is an error message:

Warning: The NCBI web site requires JavaScript to function. more...

I followed the instructions to ensure that JavaScript is enabled (it already was), but it hasn't helped. Safari is able to display the full web page.

Guys, this is a font problem. Just change the font size (ctrl + mouse wheel) and the links will reappear.
