Any phone number displayed on any site will not show up on firefox but it does on IE?

Any phone number displayed on the screen (i.e craigslist ad, email, etc.) will not show up. its just blank. but if i go to the same exact page on Internet Explorer, the phone number shows up just fine! Why?
