I had Windows 7 64-bit on my computer but had a severe formatting problem that caused me to have to reinstall. Ever since Firefox 3.6.10 has been very slow on cold starts and general browsing. Pages load slowly or not at all so i have to hit reload. I had 3.6.10 on the computer before with Windows 7 64-bit and it worked fine. I don't know what the problem is.

Did you check your security software?

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.
