Have new iMac OSX10.6 running Leopard. Downloaded Firefox from Safari. Dragged Firefox icon into Applications folder. Icon appeared with a little arrow in lower left corner. Dragged icon to the Dock as directed, but icon not accepted.

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.
Open the DMG file and drag to Firefox program to the application folder on your hard drive.
You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but drag it out of the DMG folder instead.
