Previously loaded pictures disappear if I have more than a few tabs open - if I close tabs, the pictures reappear without reloading the page. What is causing this? It doesn't happen with other browsers.

When browsing, randomly all the pictures in all my open tabs/web pages disappear. When I close all but a couple of tabs, the pictures come back, without reloading the page. Even the buttons/images in the Firefox toolbar disappear. I have tried several browsers, and Firefox is the only one I have this problem with. I only have a few plug-ins installed, but it happens when I have more than 5 or 6 tabs open (sometimes not even that). Is there something I can to fix this?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
