Text is light and difficult to read, text is better on Internet Explorer. How do I make FireFox text the same?

The font is the default - Arial, 18pt. But it is light and hard to read. If it could be bolder or blacker, that would help. On IE the text is easier to read. I want the text to look the same as IE so I can stop using IE.

Please help.

You can enable ClearType system wide for all programs to make other programs like Firefox use it.

  • Vista: Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance > Effects, check "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts", choose "Clear Type" in the box below.
  • XP: Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects, check "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts", choose "Clear Type" in the box below.
