I have been in DATA processing since half a century. I do not like ASK toolbar. Gets into with anything (ON THE TOP) without asking. Have to uninstall and remove from EXPLORER. Cannot REMOVE from FIREFOX since cannot access OPTIONS. HAD TO UNINSTALL and REINSTALL FIREFOX This is not NICE. For your information Orhan

The Ask toolbar is normally uninstalled by using the Windows control panel.

  1. In the Windows Start menu select "Control Panel"
  2. Under the Programs icon, select "Uninstall a program"
  3. Select the "Ask Toolbar" in the list of installed programs
  4. Click Uninstall and then Continue to remove the Toolbar

Even when it is uninstalled, it can still leave remnants behind in Firefox, for details of other things to check see this forum post at Mozillazine - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=5069645#p5069645
