I am not certain exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to put a webpage such as google maps onto the bookmarks toolbar see Bookmarks in Firefox

What you do is

  1. find the required website e.g. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
  2. open the website in a tab (for instance Ctrl+ Left click the above link)
  3. use menu toolbar: Bookmarks -> Bookmark this page
  • click the right hand down arrow and
  • find and select the folder Bookmarks Toolbar & click on it
  • click [Done]

The bookmarked website then shows up as an icon and name on the toolbar.

Hope I have understood what you were asking and that it works for you.
