My firefox home page used to have a "sign in/out" prompt in the tool bar below "bookmarks", "Mail" etc. It is now not there. The only way I can sign in/out is to go to "bookmarks" which then takes me to the sign in dropdown box, which is two steps instead of one. How do I get the "Sign In/Out" prompt back?

Thanks, Jack (kewsgarden@<email removed by moderator>)

Hi Jack,

I am not sure what exactly was added and is now missing

  • it may be a whole toolbar OR
  • it may be a bookmark item that is on another toolbar, probably the bookmarks toolbar

Try (if you have no file menu toolbar displaying first press the Alt key or F10 key on your keyboard) View -> Toolbars them see if you can see the required toolbar listed if so select it so that the tick/check mark shows also look at the customise option.

Have a look at this it should help Navigation buttons like back, home, bookmarks and reload are missing

If you still have problems can you say a bit more about what is missing after reading the article I have linked to.
